I can't believe life has been so fast paced I haven't written in a while. I feel sort of stuck in a routine. You know: Wake up, reset alarm, shower, go to work, drive home in rush hour, be jumped on by dogs, eat, go to sleep....repeat. Then, when the weekend comes, I've too busy trying to just sit and do nothing. Of course, that never happens. Well, what has happened since mid-March?
Rebecca and Michael graduated. Rebecca moved to California so she's far away. :( I turned 24 in June! Adam and I had a blast that weekend with friends and family. Friday, my actual birthday, we went out to Mill and enjoyed a few drink specials. Saturday I went to my bar, Famous Sam's and partied up some karaoke. There was actually a contest going on, and the top 3 people move on to city finals for a chance to win $500! And I'm one of the top 3 from that night! Awesome. Sunday, we wrapped up my birthday weekend with some casino fun.
End of June Adam and I went to Minnesota to visit his family. It was great, I met some more of his family and reconnected with ones I've met before. We went fishing up at Sandstone too! I caught my first fish, a northern. It was gross because they wanted to get a picture with me holding it side ways, and it was slimy. What was really great was that the dock up at the lake is where Adam and I got engaged 5 years ago. It was nice to be back there...kinda like where it all began.
July is proving to be a busy month too. Adam is working mucho and I have my work's Reunion in Austin, TX in 2 weeks! I'm SUPER excited. I will miss Adam and my puppies. The one thing that is awful is this dang heat! I think it was like 115 today! I'm pretty sure my car melts a little each and every day. Oh well, at least its a DRY heat. (By the way, that makes no difference when it's so hot outside you sweat by just looking out the window.)
